Although a lot can be experimented with the look of the bride, traditional sherwani and Indo-western outfits are the options which grooms can opt for wedding. A sherwani includes a top or a kurta and a payjama or chudidar. The kurta usually come in elaborate embroidery, detailing of thread and zari work matched with self colour plain payjama. Like in Lehenga, sherwani also has a dupatta which gives it the finishing touch and its colour often matches with the colour of brides outfit.

Indian designers are constantly experimenting with the Indian wedding wear by adapting few styling from western fashion and trying to break free from the conventional pattern. Last year Indian Bridal Fashion Week was a grand showcase of country’s best bridal collection with a royal combo of white & gold in designers Shantanu and Nikhil’s collection. Indian Bridal Fashion Week 2014 forges to show its impact of contemporary western fashion trends. Waist coat are seen to compliment dhoti pants and ghagaras. Old styling is also seen to be jazzed up with digital prints.
