Pure Patola/Ikkat Silk
Patola saree is a double Ikkat woven saree, usually made from silk, made in Patan, Gujarat, India. Patola are hand-woven silk sarees. To create a patola sari, both the warp and weft threads are wrapped to resist the dye according to the desired pattern of the final woven fabric. The sarees are painted with motifs and patterns inspired from animals and other elements of nature. These silk sarees are specialized for their color diversity and geometric style. The weaving of a Patola saree is a complicated process yet these sarees look so simple and stunning.
